The Sustainable Development Goal 11.3 aims to tackle the challenges of Transition Management and Urban Planning. The main problem cities are facing nowadays is the lack of inclusive mobility services for suburban or smaller areas. Workers and students have to commute hours at times in order to reach their destination from home to the city. Since most of the data necessary for a better urban planning comes from private companies and tends to be expensive, the team MILEVA decided to act on it.
The solution developed is AGORA, a service aimed to anonymously detect the movement of citizens in order to create a more inclusive and dynamic urban mobility planning. The concept and design are directly inspired from the Large Hadron Collider at CERN and how it observes the different particles movements. Similarly, AGORA detects the commuting of citizens (that thanks to our elegant telecommunication system keeps the data anonymous) sub and urban area.
